Naming the new dog is the most fun part!

While I don't have any specific suggestions, here's how to go about finding a name the reflects you and your dog, both:

There's something in life you have a passion for, whether it's art, music, cooking, or a sport of some kind.

First, write out all of the people you think are "heroes" in the category. Sometimes the name will be catchy.

You can also write down random pieces of equipment, song names, etc.

I've had a number of friends with really fun dog names, and they all used something that was near and dear to them.

FOR EXAMPLE:
My friend the Tennis player named his dog "Wilson" after the tennis racket.
Another friend, a Shakespeare Junkie, named the cats "Portia" and "Brutus"
A Cincinnati Reds fan neighbor has a dog named "Pete" (for Pete Rose) and another, that one a Bengals fan, has a dog named "Boomer" (for Boomer Esiason)

The key here is that since the dog should be a creature you adore, the name should come from something in life that you really love.
