I have seen many atheists or theists get along very well by disagreeing agreeably. So what happened to the rest?

Daioka14: When you say "beliefs are illogical" it is a belief as well and does that make you illogical? You are as good as not answering.
Superdan: I agree with you too but I am not pinpointing Y! Answers only, look at all the real "holy" wars going on around us. You have given a good answer though :)
Some of these answers are missing the point: Beliefs or attitudes? Or both? I see a number of blames but I can't tell if they are blaming the beliefs or the attitudes. Pls give a breakdown of the aspects including any overlapse that you see.

For some reason Islamic peoples around the world have decided that they must kill everyone not their faith.
They want a war to end all wars and make everyone a Muslim.
The trouble is most Christians will not convert or change and will fight to the death. Which according to what I have read in the quaran is what they want and have prophecy as happening.
They don't actually want the western world to convert.
In Sudan they killed the black people who converted.
The world is suppose to be all Arabic. The just want the rest of us to die. That definitely includes atheists, or theists.

people can beleive what they want (and its called free will)-but there are a lot that lump everyone together and call them "christians" when it has nothing to do with Christ. then u get the continued attacks on anyone that beleives in Jesus-which is par for the course and part of being one of His in this world. People continually asking questions they really don't want an answer to, bible verses taken out of context etc. Constant baiting just to waste time.

yes it is an attitude problem but here on answers you cannot say that we are not getting along we are just expressing our beliefs and thats it because people are asking for them ! true ok then otherwise somewhere else i get alonge with all sorts of people we laughf and cut up all the time and most of them are not christains but that does not matter and they know my beliefs and i know theres but it goes deeper because you have to love first they will know we are christains by our love

I think attitudes have a play in everything. It would be wonderful if we could all agree we disagree and let it go at that on any subject.

The problem is the beliefs are illogical and have no reason to why we should believe them.
And they are barbaric
