Has anyone ever used a condom correctly (without a form of birth control) and gotten pregnant? I'm talking no leaks, no tears, no rips...and still somehow ended up being pregnant? Share your story and explain to me if there is a possible way, please.

There is a remote possibility. Statistics claim 98% effective with proper use and 85% effective with typical use (which includes not using them occasionally or putting them on too late)

Nope. I'm sure it's possible... maybe a 1% chance... but HIGHLY unlikely. There would probably have to be some flaw or foul-up somewhere. But there will always be those people who SWEAR that they got pregnant through absolutely no fault of their own... and insist that they took every precaution and WOOPS. I say, yeah right! I've heard of guys accidentally touching the wrong side of the condom to the tip of their penis when almost accidentally putting it on backwards and then just turn it around and put the same condom on... and the minute amount of semen on the condom tip can get a woman pregnant... perhaps things like this account for that 1% of pregnancies while using a condom... but who knows for sure.

Condoms may fail due to damage (such as tears caused when opening the package), bursting caused by latex degradation (typically from being past the expiration date or being stored improperly), and from slipping off the penis during intercourse or after ejaculation. Sometimes pregnancy may result even without an obvious failure at the time of use.

While standard condoms will fit almost any penis, some men may find that use of 'snug' or 'magnum' condoms decreases the risk of slippage, leaking, and bursting.

Experienced condom users are significantly less likely to have a condom slip or break compared to first-time users, although users who experience one slippage or breakage are at increased risk of a second such failure. It is believed that instruction in proper condom use also reduces failure rates.

Among couples that intend condoms to be their form of birth control, pregnancy may occur when the couple does not use a condom. The couple may have run out of condoms, or be traveling and not have a condom with them, or simply dislike the feel of condoms and decide to "take a chance." This type of behavior is the primary cause of "typical use" failure (as opposed to "method" or "perfect use" failure).

Another possible cause of condom failure is sabotage. One motive is to have a child against a partner's wishes or consent , known to be done by men and women alike. Saboteurs usually pierce the condom's tip multiple times before intercourse.

yeah, thats how my mom got me. and realisticly, you cant guarantee that your condom will NEVER tear or slip, so dont fool yourself. Also, if you dont use a condom the ENTIRE time you are having sex, thats bad too. There is something called pre-ejacualate that can happen at ANY time, so if you start out having sex without one, then put it on later, thats really risky.

a condom is a man-made device. none of them are perfect. this is true of all such birth control devices. this is why nobody should have sex unless they as willing to become a parent. period. no exceptions. you want to feel good and get physical release without worry, try oral sex. practice what gets you off. if you ever have penetration expect a kid. if you do not then at least it may not be a big disappointment. sex is for adults who are willing to take responsibility for their actions.

certain types of lubricants can cause a condom to be less effective...water based lubricants are to be used with latex condoms.

like they say, the only way you can be sure not to get preg is abstinence, so it probably is possible for you to get pregnant even if.
