Is it a nervous tick or sumpin?

i have a chihuahua who does the same thing. constantly licking my face. let us know if you find a rememdy.
I did hear a theory once that puppies in packs of wild dogs lick the adult dog face to induce regurgitating food that the puppies could then eat. gross. I wonder if this is some sort of instinctual thing???

I am not sure but most smaller dogs lick a lot... Themselves as well as others around them.. even their blankets.... I have heard that it has to do with how old they were when they were weaned from their mom.... over 9 weeks is preferable...

dauschunds are just affectionate little things. i have a dauschund hound named juicy fruit and he kisses all the time. nothing wrong with that
