By brushing their teeth on a regular basis. Buy a special doggy toothpaste though as the fluoride in normal toothpaste is bad for dogs. You can get this in most pet shops. I also give my dog dental stix every day which apparently is good for removing plaque, but any treat that they have to give a good chew to will help do this.

Quit kissing it...Just kidding. They make some kind of treat that cleans their breath. I can't remember the name of it, but it worked. Also, you can brush your dogs teeth too.

i have the same problem with my yorkshire terrier!, her breath is vile....she did visit the vets to have her teeth descaled and alot of them also had to be removed but this was not due to me neglecting her as she was a rescue dog and obviously the prvious owners did not bother, the vet advised me to clean her teeth but she was no way gonna let me do that so he also advised to buy dental chews which i did but shes not that keen on them but does chew on them at a push....hope this is of some help to you.

You could brush his / her teeth or give you're dog a milk bone, make sure that he / she isn't eating anything nasty that causes the smelly breath.
My dog eats pepermints so thats an advantage........he he.

We give our dogs greenies and a liquid you pour into their water called petadent. Don't give a greenie everyday tho, it's not good for them to eat the treat to often. But it makes their breath fresh and sweet...

If you get dog treats with parsley in them, that helps. I got these things called breath busters for my dogs, and they had parsley in them. They worked pretty well. Don't go giving your dog handfuls of parsley though, get the treats!
