Stress can delay your period for months at a time if you're really bad. I've skipped mine one month because of stress. I guess it all depends on the person and how well they can handle it.

I skipped my period for 9 months once, because of stress and exercise. Stress really screws with a womans system. We're not really meant to deal with some kinds of stress.

When I was 39 I didn't have a period for six months because of stress. When the situation causing it subsided my periods came back.

Yes stress is a big factor. the biggest worry is pregnancy, I have worried about that before and just got a test and when it came out negative I wa relieved and my period started 3 days later.

It can delay your pregnancy for awhile. It can get your cycle are screwed up. The only way to really get a clear view of this problem is to check with your doctor. They can do a blood test and see what's up.
