Ohhhhhh honey, at your height and weight, you need to gain some weight to be healthy. I don't really care what your occupation is, that dosn't sound like a very healthy height/weight ratio. Talk to a doctor!

I'm not a dancer but I do know you are held to a different standard so I would just assume that you have a very small frame. I'm 5'6 and my ideal weight is 125-145. If you MUST lose weight then I would say you need to lose it in a very healthy way. I would recommend the Cambridge Food For Life Diet, specifically the Regular Plan where you consume 3 servings of Cambridge per day for a total of 420 calories plus a reasonable meal of 400-800 calories. Because you are already at an ideal weight you would absolutely HAVE TO consume all 3 servings of Cambridge. It provides your body with 100% of it's daily vitamins, minerals and trace elements and (this one's important for you) it protects your lean muscle mass so you don't lose muscle as you burn fat. I absolutely would not recommend the Fast Start diet though, just the Regular Program. You would be able to lose the weight you need to lose (I'm assuming you don't have far to go) in a short time period (probably in about 2 weeks in your case). It's affordable and FDA approved. See my website below for details and contact information.

i am 5'6 also 115 and skinny as a rake. If you go to 105 you will not only LOOK ill, but most likely BE ill. If you are a practicing dancer then your weight will drop naturally to what you should be. 120-130 is NORMAL for someone of your height. 105 is ILL.
No-one in their right mind will tell you how to lose weight with your proportions. Why do you mention muscles? If you are a little muscular (which you should be from dancing) then this will add weight as muscle is heavier than fat. It doesn't matter how much you weigh, but your body proportions and the health of your diet.
Do you want to look like a sekelton like Nicole Ritchie? If so... go ahead at the risk of being unattractive and ill.
Sorry if that seems harsh, but it's reality.

You don't need to lose no more weight. The wind will blow you away. I am not trying to sound harsh but you are 5'6 and 115 and want to get down to 105. No. I am your height and I am overweight. I am losing weight now after having my son last year I gained a lot + on top of that I was depressed. so I have 100 pounds to go. I believe you are fine just the way you are.

Ok well what type of danceing do you do? Well ride a bike (or go to the gym and like use the treadmil or one of those mock bike machines) I have eard that if you bike about 1-2 miles a day you can loose aroung 10 pounds in 3 days. I don't think you should eat only vegetables because thats limiting your body of things it needs to grow and function properly witch might cause it to go a little crazy and stock up extra weight for a food source. Also I have a few good books that have some very quick workouts that work very well.

You don't need to lose weight, I don't care if you're a dancer or not.
What you do need to do is start eating more healthfully. If you don't like vegetables, drink V8 or vegetable juice or eat some of those fruit and veggie bars you can get in the grocery store. Some of the faux meats made with tofu are quite good including the salami and bacon, which you can have on sandwiches or in pitas with lettuce and tomato, or with salsa.

Honestly, dear, you don't need to lose any more weight unless you want to play the scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz" That is an unhealthy weight for you. I am 5 feet and 90 pounds. I look like I flippin' scarecrow. Who ever is trying to make you lose weight is trying to kill you.

I'm sorry, but dancer or not, you do not need to be 105lb. It is the same with models, they do not need to have a BMI of under 18. So you should stay as you are, when something interferes with your life in such a destructive way, maybe you should think just how important dancing is to you versus your long term health. Take care : )

At 115 there is not much you can do and remain healthy enough to dance. You could eliminate carbs, but they will be needed to burn during the dancing. what I would suggest is eating protien after a workout and carbs before. Avoid carbs, especially sugars before you sleep or rest.
