No, I don't think that alone makes you shallow. We all have our preferences and age is a preference. Just like some people get turned off when they find out that the person they like smokes...or drinks...

Man who cares if she is a freshman, I also like a freshman and I am a senior. You only think you like her less but it is that you are not sure of how your friends will react to the fact that you like a freshman. It doesnt matter what your friends think. If you are a sophmore you need to get someone to kick you in the nads, because there is not much age difference, barely any. If you are a junior do the same thing, and also if you are a senior, simply you need to get someone to kick you in the nads for being shallow.

Yes that is shallow. It should not matter what grade she is in. .. if you like her, you like her and if you dont, you dont. Its the same as a girl not wanting to go out with a guy just because he dont drive a BMW or Corvette or something lame like that. Material things, status symbols and stuff like that should not even be considered when it comes to either liking or disliking someone.
