in canada, and depending on the province you live in BASIC health care is free.
Theve just now are taking ruffley $50 more a month in your taxes to go towards health care.

I love the fact I can go to the ER and no worry how much an xray is.

THis is the ONE AND ONLY reason will NEVER live in the states. I would not want to pay more out of pocket for health care

yes I would because right now I am fighting to keep the insurance I have because I make too much for Medicaid and not enough for a family plan through work. I have five kids and it is hard so I would be willing to pay more taxes to guarantee my kids health and safety.

Kurt C sorry to tell you, you already are for medicaid and welfare it all comes out of your taxes so why not pay for your own health care at the same time.

Yes I would!!! There are way too many kids abd adults walking around these days without proper coverage because people cannot afford health care!!! It would also lessen the wait times in ER'S!!!! There are so many uninsured patients that use the ER as a walk in clinic for something as basic as the sniffles because they can't afford to see a doctor. The riduclus amount it costs for health insurance is also one of the reasons why health care insanly expensive. ER's and hospitals HAVE to treat patients for their ailments, insured or not. So who foots the cost of taking care of these people who cannot pay? The lucky ones who can afford coverage! It's a vicous cycle! I wish that our Country would quit worrying about weather or not to let gay people marry and get with the program, lets worry about something that actually matters!!!!!!!

Yes! We are the most powerful country in the world, yet we cannot offer our citizens heathcare. It is a same! The US should take a hint from countries like Canada and England and provide free healthcare for all its citizens. Many people can't afford insurance and go without. I think if people had it, there would be less visits to hospitals and thus healthcare cost could go down!
