There's never a good time to break up. If you wait until after her birthday than maybe something else will come up and you'll end up marrying here. Don't make excuses to avoid the unpleasantness, just dump her and get it over with.

If you honestly don't want to be in the relationship anymore, it's only fair to tell her asap, because keeping on going, you're leading her on, you're being not only untrue to her, but to yourself aswell, don't break up with her on her birthday though.. If you're not happy, then don't keep putting it off for the right time, there is no right time. It's a hard thing to do but it's better just to get it over & done with.

Don't break up with her on her birthday. That would just be utterly cruel and unkind. If you want to break up with her, just do it. I would reccomend doing the breakup on neutral ground (ie. a park or some resturaunt that has no special meaning).
