I'm a Christian and an American but not from the US. We also got rid of the Spanish king and I find that recognizing Jesus as king makes all the rulers secondary and even irrelevant. This is important for the construction of a society of freedom and tolerance. Someone has to tell the powers that be, whether political or economic, that their authority is limited and they are accountable to higher courts.

Jesus is the King of kings. He is over all kings on this earth, whether they like it or not. American Christians follow Jesus as king because in America, they are not ruled by a king. That is the President's job.

You are funny ...all full O' rage and anger.Mellow out dude.We were formed to get rid of a man made monarchy. There is a huge difference.#1 All that separation of church and state is crap. The Bill of rights prohibits the GOVERNMENT from establishing a state religion. The state religion of England was the Anglican Church. In America you can be what ever you want...including an- a(away from)gnostic(knowledge)agnostic in Greek means turning away from knowledge, tee hee.You can be a Buddaist who cares.Christians know that when Jesus returns his government will be perfect and just not flawed like man's.In England if you were not of the Anglican Church of England(Episcopalian) you were in trouble .I know ,my ancestor was William Bradford the 1rst gov. of the Plymouth Colony(not a Puritan but a Pilgrim).

Jesus isn't an English Monarch (we defeated the King of England).
Freedom from religious(christian) persecution brought people here (anything sound familiar).

Who is calliing Who what ??? FOOL. Well I beg your pardon, the Great United States of American is ruled by a President, NOT A KING !! You are confused and go to a Doctor to get some tranquilizers. When you call someone names and downgrade others, pointing a finger at us, then don't forget there are three fingers pointing back at you !!!

Well that shows your understanding of who americans are and what they follow, and it shows even greater ignorance of Christ - Who is God, Who is King of Kings and LORD of Lords, Who is the Mighty God, Prince of Peace, Everlasting Father. He will come again to judge bothe the living and the dead - and you too for such condemnation of Him - repent and be baptized, ask for the forgiveness of sins and he will forgive, for he is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to know the truth.

i could no longer have placed it greater effective myself!!! you're so thoroughly good that that's unhappy. I extremely have been puttering around right here on R&S for somewhat a on a similar time as now, and that i think of my hair is permantly fried. i in my view have not contributed lots because of the fact of all the hateful language - and a variety of that has been from "Christians". i'm so happy that there are others who accept as true with me. We, as believers, could desire to realize that if Jesus have been right here interior the flesh (back), that the very those that we, as "Christians", are condemning with the aid of our hateful language may well be the very those that he might choose for to be with, and greater importantly, to love. I wish greater human beings ought to work out that. thank you for being one. On behalf of Christians accessible who are not that way, i want to show regret to the non-believers for the detest that has been sent your way. It would not come from all believers.

I've come to the conclusion that it does no good to argue such a pathetic premise. It's sort of like wrestling a pig in a mud hole. The realization arrives that the pig likes it.
