Does it matter what i say?

The infant lying down in the crib the whole day and the toddler running and knocking things around the house, don't care about anything in the world --- nothing matters. But the student has to worry whether his exam grades are going to be good, esp if his parents treat such performance as important. So also the young teenage mother who cares her baby properly, although she neglected her studies and left school early, for education didnt matter much to her. I believe that once you have grown up and have responsibilities, a lot of things in life matter. This is because there are certain expectations from parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers and the law. The modern world has more rules and laws to adhere to than Third or Fourth world societies. It is the way life in a civilized society is. Either comply or face scoldings, suspension, jail with life sentence or even the death penalty for major breaches with the law.

I think it depends on your mood. Somedays everything is shot to **** and you realize the world is a harsh harsh place. And other days it's truly a wonderful place to be. The crappy days are worth overcoming in order to get to the good ones. I don't know if your religious, but you know every religion has a different answer to your question. Don't worry, I'm not. There are days when I think the world sucks and how could people be so cruel and it would be better if we didn't exist at all... but then there are those moments, while few and far between, when you just know it's worth it for that one moment. You're right, we all die and who knows what will happen when we're gone. But the point is we're here now and you only get to do this once. Might as well appreciate it for what it's worth... the good and the bad.

Yes. Everything that we do and experience does matter. Very much.

See, I think of death as game over, not the end of me. I believe that my essence carries on and perhaps returns for another round. It is inconceivable to me that all this energy should be expended simply so we can plod around down here for 70 years and die - done. There must be something more, right? There just has to be.

So we are all here learning, ever learning - and forever heading toward the next level, the next phase of our existence (whatever that may be).

It does matter. You matter. Peace!

Yes, Girl, everything in life matters because it determines your eternal destiny. Scary that its in your hands, huh? What if life really begins after you leave this earth? People spend sooooo much money on insurance in this life and not many pay attention to the real Insurance for the next life. Jesus Chris is the guarantee of Safety and Peace with God. But, like I said, its in your hands.

Although I find this sort a of a self defeating question, I'd have to disagree with you and say that all things matter, in one fashion or another.
Why ask a question unless your seeking meaning, either to the question, or to your life. Death is not the end, merely a transition.

Love matters.

What kind of life do you want to live?
What do you want people to remember about you when you die?
If you don't care about the answer to either question, then nothing really matters.

Only to the extent it matters to you.

Life would be really boring if you didn't find interest in something.

For my part, I enjoy being a charming, evil, sadistic Santa.

Life isn't about dieing, it's about connections and impacting the world that's here. If you think that humanity is a good thing, you should probably do your best to insure it's survival!
