DUH!!!!!!!!
if you have to ask this question I worry if you should even possess this creature!
(maybe you are just a child & don't know better, and in that case your parents should be more responsible for the safety & welfare of this pup!) For Gods sake it is a little creature and if you let it get hard & crusty poop on its bottom, you need to be responsibe enough to give it a butt bath!
sit your pup on the sink in about 4 inches of WARM, not hot water, & let it soak a little (3-5 minutes under supervision!) to soften it up, then BUCK UP & pluck those crusties off......... now when your precious little puppy is done with that bath, take a pair of SAFETY scissors & have someone help you trim that hair around his pooper so no more cling-ons stick.
I have maltese & it happens to them occasionally, but once they come in from potty I ALWAYS check to see that their bottom is clean or they get butt baths right away.
you should NEVER let it dry on the pup cause it can scratch the very sensitive bottom!

Yes, do clean it. You should never let it get crusty to begin with. A yorkie needs to be keep clean and her hair trimmed.

Sure, just be gentle. Use warm water and some mild soap. Also with yorkies its a good idea to keep that hair around their butts trimmed short so no poo gets stuck there as well.

You should either give him a bath or just use a warm wash cloth to very gently wipe. I wouldn't use any soap, it could irritate the skin.
