Razor Girl, as real as illusion gets. When one transcends the mind, you can experience UNCONDITIONAL LOVE,but when you return to a "normal" state you can not explain it. the mind just cannot comprend the allness of GOD.

Not sure I understand the question, I don't consider myself dead or ever having been dead. We were created by an intelligent designer. How could something not existing do what humans are capable of doing? If you stare at nothing does something suddenly appear and start performing great acts? You can't get something from nothing, everything exist and has a purpose.

all who lived are dead.. good thing I'm not past tense here, as I still live. Therefore, I exist.
I do know what you mean however..
Maybe in some far fetched future, we as individuals may not be more than dust.. maybe those that hold the so called power will reflect on each of us.. and wouldn't that be a shame right now.
I'm still here, and as long as I am, I will do I can to help humanity..

Questions like yours have puzzled philosophers for thousands of years. If you're going to do some deep thinking, you might want to read some philosophy rather than hanging out on this site.

Are you familiar with the brain-in-the-vat scenario? I included a link to an article about it. The fact is, we will never know the answer to your question.

P.S.

It depends on what you believe. All these people can tell you what they believe... and might I add some of you are big jerks. But you can't follow what anyone else says when it comes to existential questions. You need to go with what you feel and even that changes over time.

However, since the Universe is eternal, a single human lifespan is irrelevant - whether it lasts 9 years or 90.

No, you shouldn't. You could guess, and that guess could sound good. But in the end you don't know and you won't until it is too late. I am very religious and I have my own beliefs about death. I am just saying don't waste your time constantly thinking about questions that can't be answered.
