Im 19 and I live alone in my apartment. Its huge with a big backyard. Im wondering what kind to get. I want and girl and Im thinking a tiny dog. Does anyone have an suggestions and pictures? :)

alot of the time the smaller dog breeds are harder to potty train because of their small bladder so if you do choose a tiny pup make sure you can watch it. or have someone watch it when your at work, crates are a good method, its not cruel, people think it is.....it depends if you want a furry dog get a pomerainian(sp?), or a a chuiahua(i cant spell) but they are fiesty and loud. i would go with a medium size dog like a border collie, or a pembroke welsh corgi,GOOD LUCK!!=]

Personally, I like Yorkies ( Yorkshire Terriers), Beagles, and some Terriers.Do NOT get a realy REALY small dog such as Tea cup Chihuahua. They need to be fed like every 2 hours or some thing like that. They take a LOT of care!!

Terriers are small, but noisy. Chihuahuas can be feisty. Normally, what they lack in size they have in voice. Pomeranians can be very sweet. Loud too.
I can't recall the breed, but in "Petkeeping with Mark Morone" he featured a lap dog that hardly barked, and was bred just to be a nice, sweet, quiet breed of lap dog. Search his webpage.

Do yourself a favor and read up on the breed you plan to get. So many people purchase pups because they're cute... well go figure... all puppies are cute, then they grow up into dogs that have their breeeds personality. This personality may or may not mesh with yours. So please.... read!!!

go to your local Spca and take a walk threw the many puppys and dogs...dont forget to look at the adult dogs, they have any size color and bred you can spend all the time you need to pick the dog thats right for you!!!!
