You might be best to sign up at a community college that offers a series of courses related to the methods used to help adults learn. It includes information about how people learn and usually identifies how each student in the course learns. These courses are usually offered as in classroom or Internet instruction. ADULT EDUCATORS or some such term identifies them. As a fellow old guy let me tell you that we are smart just out of practise.

Hello,

I consider myself a self taught expert on learning techniques. When I was in grade school a long, long time ago no one ever taught us how to study. Now I find out that just staring at a page of notes is the absolutely worst thing a person can do to learn.

I would seek out information that explains study techniques, how to get as many senses involved in the learning process. I learn best by making and studying flash cards. You will find this out. I know the information is out there and feel free to contact me if you need more detail. You can do it!

Try Daniel Pink's "A Whole New Mind." A fascinating look at the direction the world is going. Might change your idea about what college courses to sign up for....
