Good question. I kinda like the answer of Missmojo2 because the dictionary and other references were used to define some of the words you did use. I would have done the same.

I also agree that this is the game set up by Yahoo and thus they I guess after reading the dictionary had to make a decision. I accept their guidelines as OK.

In my view after I do read the word religion defined in the dictionary I wonder if everything could be in one category. Of course I do not want that but a religion is a belief system basically and everyone has a belief in something. thus no matter who ask or who answers, the asking or the answer comes from a belief system.

I sure am glad Yahoo decided to place categories of some kind so I can find the items I like to consider. I hope they do not change it for I kinda got use to it my friend.

Do you want them to change? If so where would you find the ones you want to get excited: I am just curious. Oh yes and I do have a big smile on my face OK

This is all my opinion and please do accept it as good enough for me. You are free to have you own OK. I will respect that.

Now do have a good day and please do not submit a suggestion to Yahoo to make big changes>

Religion is the basis of fundamentals of a belief system.

Spirituality has to do with anything pertainig to things on a spiritual realm, not all pertaining to "Biblical" spirituality.

Mythology is the study of myths - that is explanations of creations, the problem of evil, the nature of gods and goddess, cultic practices, etc. of a particular culture, or group of people and civilizations.

Folklore is the stories of embelishment, exagerated by the telling from one person to the next. Few have any moral teachings or guidelines. Some have to do with why things occur or happen.

Now that we got that out of the way there is a difference in all of them.

However there is one true religion and that is in the Man Christ Jesus, He alone is Creator, the Mighty God, Prince of Peace and the Everlasting Father. He is not the product of religion, or spirituality, mythology or folklore - He is the Living God who reighns and will one day come to judge the quick and the dead.

That's a simple question. My answer is, I have tray of sockets the smallest socket is 6mm, then 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm and 19mm
The sockets are not interchangeable a 19mm socket can not be used in place of a 6mm socket. The sockets were created separate because each socket as it's own task.
The same is true with Religion, Spirituality, Mythology and Folklore, each have their proper jurisdiction. The mistake that is often made in this last day is, people want to blend all people and all teachings into one, making one nation.

Religion is defined as: (noun) A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects (ex. Christianity, Catholicism, Jewish, etc)

Spirituality is defined as: (noun) The quality or fact of being spiritual
-spiritual: (adjective) Of or pertaining to sacred things or matters

If you follow those definitions carefully, you can be spiritual in nature but not belong to a specific religion. Spiritual people are more open to multiple spiritual paths but do not believe in following one religion. If you are religious, you follow one distinct set of beliefs, rules, and guidelines. Some believe in God, but do not belong to a specific religion, thus do not follow a specific set of rules. Hence to be politically correct in this day and time, they separated the two to address and appease everyone.

But to God, we are all His children despite the separation we impose upon ourselves all for the sake of power and control.

Well, JP...religion, mythology and folklore all run pretty much in the same ally.

Spirituality, however, is the basis of the need of every man.

For religion is Satan's answer to man's god problem.

Jesus Christ is God's answer to man's spiritual problem.

well there is a difference like religion is just the ways of man, a form or rutien like the same thing over and over and you never change that is what jesus called the pherosies you religious leaders but jesus was standing right in front of them ... see and being spiritual is saying that you listen and hear jesus and your spiritual man inside of you is awake and you do things by what the holy spirit says to you

Pagan don't think they should be.

I don't either. "Mythology" is just religion that has passed it's prime, but there are still adherents.

Folklore maybe should be seperate: that's like ghosts and urban legends and stuff that is not religion.

You may as well include Atheism and agnosticism as with the mythology and folklore.
