The Pope quoted a book, but clearly stated that the quote didn't reflect his own opinion. Now Muslims are pretending the words were his own. People who kill, burn and destroy for such a flimsy reason are not interested in respect and reason. Are you???

~EDIT~
By the way, if you're concerned about Christians' open-mindedness toward Islam, why don't you have a talk with your bloody-handed Muslim brethren?

How can one qoute that was admitted to be a mistake judge the Christians as less open-minded when those that were offended are not really making effort to be sensitive to the killings of the innocent they call infidels? How can one also explain a knowledge learned insisting their rights by inflicting injuries and death to people who are not directly involve in their fights and oftentimes killing their own people just to present their points?

When you take what someone said completely out of context, you have to expect no response from the person who said it. Why not practice the open mindedness you claim Christians are without. Why kill one person for what another said? Is that what you call open mindedness, because I sure don't. Why burn churches of another religion, why threaten people ofanother religion for what someone says? You are saying that we should be allowed to kill you because of what bin laden has done. Grow the hell up! and join the 21st century.

Only Catholics are led by the pope, it is the only Christian religion (that I know of) that follows the pope.

In my 49 years I have found few "christians" who let the Pope do their thinking for them.......Muslims rejoiced in the streets when 3,000 Americans (including children in a day care center) were killed on Sept.11......and you expect "knowledgeable questions and answers"? The Muslim world is showing a horrifically brutal side...and it is up to ISLAM to prove it's peaceful nature...screaming for jihad and fatwa against any person who sticks a burr up your knickers isn't the trademark of a peaceful religion

The pope quoted a piece of historical dialog. Your harangue is baseless.
