One of my favorite winter hikes is Bagby hot springs - granted it's only about a mile to the springs, it's great to do when it's rainy. You probably won't be stopped by snow since it's at a lower elevation. I usually go in December. It's an easy, flat hike thru the rain & the hot springs at the end are a great reward.

Portland great in November. There is tons of hiking around the Portland Area. You will probably want to stay in the lower elevations because the Mountains are starting to get cold at night. You can really have any kind of weather but rain is almost a given. Still have some real nice days in November.

Yes but make sure that if you go hiking that you wear orange for the hunters- Hate to see you on the evening news. Some hikers and bikers go along the Oregon trail which can be very desolate but really great hiking.
It will rain. If you want to hike when it doesn't rain you want to come here in the summer- like last month- it barely rained at all.
But put on your parka and gather up some friends there is some great escapes here - just don't get lost.

As long as you're not made out of sugar, you'll be fine. Bring some warm clothes but be prepared for a warm sunny day too. They always say if you don't like the weather in Oregon, just wait a minute.
