my stomach has been hurting very weirdly. the hurting comes and goes...and it starts to hurt when i am hungry so then i dont feel like i have to eat...but i LOVE food lol so i have no idea why this happens...it also hurts sometimes after i eat. the last time that i went to the doctor's they said that i had gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) and that i had extra acid in my stomach. She said that if the hurting persists then she would have to do some tests...she hasnt done tests yet, but i am just wondering if anybody else knows what might be wrong with me. Thanks!

From what you've described, it sounds more like your Dr might be right. The best thing for you to do is follow your Dr's advice and go back and get some of those tests done so you know for sure what the problem is and hopefully get some medication to help. Don't let yourself suffer any longer than you have too.

Don't count on anyone here to give you a valid diagnosis but it could be gall stones. If it comes on like a gripping pain that radiates through your back and makes you want to drink a bottle of Maalox, it could be gall stones. If you wake up starving in the middle of the night and then feel sick after you eat and if the pain releases and you get immediate relief just out of the blue, it could be that. Just do what the doc says and if it continues, get those tests run. Hope you feel better soon!

Have you tried any over the counter acid reducers? You should still see your doctor but they could help.

acid reflux? It is a jumping up and down of your acid. See what the doc says...
