I think if people DON'T have an answer, they should not reply! The site is called answers, not opinions.
I have rescued dogs before and while it's a great thing to do...it's also nice to know where your dog has come from and raise it as a puppy.
I would suggest searching in yahoo groups for cavachon owners, you'll get real feedback there.

A so called "hybrid" is just a way to sell mutt puppies at outrageous prices. A few years ago most of these dogs would have been dropped off at a shelter or giving away free in the paper. Someone, pretty smart too I must admit, decided to give those accidental mutts a fancy sounding name and bam! You can charge 500 bucks for your mistake of letting your female dog out while she was in heat. You don't have lab/chow mix pups....you have Chowbradors!!
Ok seriously..if you really must give your money away like that, try a shelter first. There are tons of "hybrid" dogs there. If you are dead set on this cavachon then look them up online and get the facts that way, people could tell you anything on here.

Please realize that purchasing a designer dog is only contributing to the ongoing puppy mill problem.
Contact a rescue group and ask them if you can spend a day with them. You will be able to witness the messes caused by the backyard breeders that Rescue groups have to clean up. Then ask them if you can go to where the thousand of animals are put down each day.Watch carefully how it's done(it's not always humane) look into the eyes of those bound for death, then wipe the tears out of your eyes and go home.See how well you'll sleep.
Now do you still want to contribute to the breeders of Designer dogs? They are not reputable breeders, they are backyard breeders.
Please just adopt a homeless dog,you won't be sorry.

You say you want to buy a particular kind of dog. Yet you admit that you don't know if they are good dogs. What if the folks here tell you that they're not good dogs? Will you change your mind?

Most shelters have crossbreeds.
No such thing as a good breeder of crossbreeds. Responsible breeders don't do that, nor will they sell good stock to be used to breed crosses.
