What was God doing (in His Time) for an eternity into His past before He Created the Universe Ex Nihilo? God existed by Himself through an Eternity before the Creation without needing a Universe. Why did He suddenly desire to create the Universe?

This makes no sense. Physics tells us time is a property of the universe not something it is embedded in. The idea of anything creating the universe seems highly unlikely.

First God did not just "suddenly" desire to create the universe. He had that planned from eternity past to show forth the reason in eternity future - we are just in that twinkling of an eye between the eternals.
What was He doing? He was fellowshipping with the Son, who is God and was God and will always be God, he was with God in the beginning - in the fullness of time - or one could put in God's timing He was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His Glory as one coming from the Father in grace and truth. They the Eternal Father and the Eternal Son were fellowshipping with the Eternal Spirit. They were never in need of anything, got bored with what they were doing, or tried to do something that they never had done before. God desired to create the universe for one reason only that He wanted to bring Glory Honor and Praise to the Son He loves!
Yes, He did create it "ex-nihilo" out of nothing! Knowing that term says that you have heard about creationism and that understanding.
What is Time? It is physical movement! Cease all movement everywhere and you will cease time.

I think you're looking at it all wrong. Perhaps God didn't create humanity for companionship. Perhaps he's not consciously aware we're created at all. As I'm sitting here, my body's cells are dividing - am I aware of each cell that has done this in the last thirty seconds? Nope. It's all happening under the surface.
Perhaps, in reference to God, our entire universe is just a tiny skin cell in God's pinky. (If so, the minute God scratches an itch, our entire universe could be screwed.)

You misunderstand the concept of eternity. Eternity is not a lot of time stored up somewhere, it is outside of time. God sees the end of time from the beginning of time because time is contained within eternity, but it is not a relevant part OF eternity. He did not "suddenly" or "slowly" (or any other time restraining adjective) create, He just created!

We studied this at church this weekend!
God was not lonely. He had communion with His Son and The Holy Spirit. He always existed, without begining or end.God is not deficient that He needs man and He does not get lonely.
We were created to be part of a community. Father, Son and Spirit are that community and we are invited to join in their joy.

Lots of stupid answers to this one and the truth is, no one really knows.
BUT... the most rationale answer is before God created the Universe, He saw all the wonderful people he could create and you know what? He loved them before they were created and He loves them now. That includes you.
Before you were in your mother's womb God saw you.
Even taking the risk that many people would hate Him, God went ahead and created them.

God's purpose in creating us was for His pleasure, bringing enjoyment to God, we exist for His glory, purpose and delight. The bible says "Because of His love God already decided that through Jesus Christ He would make us His children, this was His pleasure and purpose."

theres a book called
"CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD" that has all the answers to that.. dam thing turned my life around after i read all 4 volumes by the author.... its good reading too and i dont read much
in lil words as i can remember god created us to Experience.. he could do everything BUT THAT until he made a likeness in himself (Us -souls) to experience things like Love feelings pain joy .. thats why they say you are god and god is you.. the cells in the human body is like what we all are to GODS energy we all come from him.. the BIG BANG was actually explosion of light (souls/light) from Gods energy
