My boxer puppy just ate about a 1/4 bar of all natural, no dye or scent glycerin soap. I noticed he is vomiting up suds. Is this an emergency or is he just going to have an upset tummy for a bit? Anything I can do for him at home??? Thanks for your answers because I can not afford a Emergency vet visit right now.

I am sorry to be laughing and I am constantly amazed at what a dog or a puppy will eat. Cats just don't do that.

Sounds like the soap is totally non-toxic and he will be OK. I come from the days when your mouth was washed out with soap if you said a bad word!

Give him something very bland to eat and drink -- stew up a chicken and give him some meat and broth (no bones!!!) when he stops throwing up and seems to want something. That will be easy on his tummy.

Oh, lordy! You have found a new way to wash your puppy -- from the inside out.

Aw. Poor thing. Well,my 3 month old Maltese puppy ate a bit of soap as well on Saturday, and she dry heaved, but never vomitted. Once she went #2 a couple of times she was fine. Her vet told me she's fine, just an upset tummy. So if you don't think it was A LOT of soap,he should be fine. Call your vet. Always call ur vet. Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7I6

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Unfortunately eight month old boxers will eat just about anything. This shouldn't be a big problem though. It should go away by itself. I would keep an eye on him though and make sure he has plenty of water available.

Beside later you can see if he farts bubbles! Always a fun Monday night diversion

it shouldn't be that bad... I mean puppies were born to be mischevious. Just call your vet... It can't be a big problem... The worst could be a little vomiting... and other than that maybe feed him some bland dog food when u feed him again

He should be fine, my dog eats bar soap on occasion. It may upset his stomach and could give him diarrhea. Just keep an eye on him.

You should definately call your vet to be on the safe side. He might end up with the runs too, so you might want to have him outside until he has passed the soap so he doesn't ruin your carpet or floors.

He'll be fine but expect him to get the runs to! Keep fresh water down for him.
