If you are addicted too then seek help for your addiction problem. If it is because you are at the end of your rope with your partners addiction then tell him honestly and this just may be the bottom that he needs to hit in order to clean up his life. Living in a relationship where the third party has addictions can be very strenuous. Look after yourself and please remind yourself that you are doing so to help both of you out. It may be hard for a while but after you get over the loss you'll see the world with a new set of eyes and will be able to get back on track once again. Good luck to you.

Make a plan. You can not relearn a lot of the things you need to know without a plan. Living with an addict forces you into a fantasy world that is dark and painful. Re-entering the outside world you need a support system, a strategy, and some clear simple goals to work on. It is like learning to walk again after being ill. You are alive now. This is a new day. Think about it and find people you can trust to talk about it. Consider your options. Dream some dreams. Trust yourself. Keep getting stronger!

You already started! You got rid of him. Very good first step. Now everythng will fall into place. As long as you want it to. Tell yourself what you want in life and go for it. Our lives are how we make it. And it sound like you already have an idea of what you don't want in life, so I think everything will be A OK! Good Luck!
