an excellent question, since I am looking at becoming a partner in a new pharmacy in about 3 years.

It depends on many variables of course. I can do little more than just mention them here. Discussion would be impossible.

We are looking at establishing a cash only (no insurance billing) pharmacy that will serve the 'working poor'. We will have a very limited formulary. We will lease from from an existing entity and not be free-standing.

In short, we are going to do this on the cheap. Even so, we will need in excess of 150K.

A typical free-standing independent would likely need triple.
