You can cut out mattes from construction paper, poster board, or actual matte board. Attach your pictures with either permanent adhesive or even clear photo corners. Then you can use wall mounting sticky stuff - they make some that is removable - 3M has good ones.

You can also run a string/yarn/wire along the wall and hang the pictures like a clothesline - similar to how you see them in darkrooms.

Hanging Photos Without Frames

At a building supply store they sell 4'x8' sheets of Styrofoam that are about 1/2 inch thick. Only a few dollars, and they are real light and easy to handle.

Figure the size you want for your pictures, then lay the Styrofoam out and cut it to the size you want with a steak or utility knife. Be sure you mark it with a straight line first!

Go to Walmart and get the $1. a yard material and cover it with whatever looks good with your couch.

You may want to hang some over your curtain rods and make tie backs, too.

After you have your board all covered, you can thumbtack ribbons to the back of the board and run them criss-cross across the front of the board to make x's. Then stick the photos in between the ribbons.

Or you may want to cut it in several long strips,
cover it, and make strips going up and down to sort of "frame" the pictures. Have fun!

Cool Ways To Hang Pictures

I just have a couple of suggestions:

1. Depending on the style of room you can get those long wide ribbons (some have tassles on the end) hang the ribbon up and attach the photos to that. If you have a modern room you would want to get a white or black ribbon, if you have shabby chic then get a ribbon that is white with a soft colored edge

2. Get a really large cheap board from a hardware store paint it white and draw a friends tree ( like a family tree only the connections of how you know your friends and family ) on it and put the pictures up instead of names.

3. Go to a hardware store and purchase a window frame that has a lot of small windows in it- put it up on the wall and it looks like you are looking out the window at your friends or just a cool way to put photos up.

punch holes in the corners of each photo, then hook them together with wire, then you just need to hang them from the top.works well if your photos are the same size. all your horizontal pictures together and all your vertical ones in another group. and you can keep adding more to the side or bottom as your collection grows.
