How wrong you are. My husband is an attorney and 1/3 the cases he takes are pro bono. That means....for free...
We know about the ACLU...they are a crafty bunch of attorneys who created an organization designed for TORT law...who sue for "the best good" which has, in the past, been interpreted to mean they are
Paid whether they win or lose!
Don't think for a moment that these people are acting out of the goodness of their souls...they are carrying their winnings (or attorney's fees if they lose) in wheelbarrows to the bank.
They also assign an obscene number of attorneys to a case to pad the bill...they are without a conscience......

For ~no n~ this is a Question...or do you not know what a question is?? Just like a supporter of the aclu, want to silence everyone that doesn't see it your way.
And to answer the Q, yes I would love for the aclu to be brought down. They pick and choose which people they back up, ever since I saw a Public school teacher get fired for wearing her regular cross necklace to class, and the aclu refused to back her I knew they were not looking out for regular Americans interests....within 6 months (I believe, don't quote me) there was a Catholic private school teacher who got fired for getting pregnant while being unmarried .( her contract clearly stated that she could not do this or she would be terminated) Guess who was there to defend her and try to get her job back?? yep the aclu....since then I have NO respect for that org.....I saw what they were really about, they love to pick and choose.

Ok why the hatred of the ACLU?I mean they went to school,they obtained their degree don't they have a right to fight for whatever cause they believe in?Its their time spent so why do all of you whine about it?I personally admire them,because i seriously doubt you will find any attorney who will take cases just for the heck of it without getting some good amounts of money for their time.Don't blame the ACLU for doing something they believe in blame the rest of the "american" attorneys whom don't join together to make their own version of the ACLU who protects as some of you so nicely put it the american people.Woops I forgot they are too busy defending the rich from being punished for driving drunk or accidentally running over someone.So for now i say BRAVO TO THE ACLU hope to one day be part of their team.

The ACLU has turned into an ANTI American front for socialist liberals. They would sell our country for a penny and wouldnt think twice. There illegals and foreigners who have more rights than US Citizens.
Besides doesnt ACLU stand for American Civil Liberties Union? If you want to be a human rights activist, the Darfur region and the Middle East need more help than some illegal immigrant.

The ACLU...what a joke...anywhere there is a gay or an illegal being persecuted..they come to the rescue, but try being an honest, upright, productive member of our society and you will probably be defending yourself in court from them idiots...Sorry, I can't be as explicit about this subject as I would like to be on here!!!

The ACLU is defunct, They have a habit of picking and choosing who's rights they want to defend. It smells of the old league of nations.
Edit:: I immigrated to this country 100% legally My little brother was borne in the U.S. and murdered by a illegal alien. where was the ACLU for My brother? I am not a Liberal or a Conservative I am a Independent Libertarian, and would other wise be in favor of them but the more I see them bungle and push there one sided agenda the more I dis like them. Because of My life stile and the core group of people I associate with I am often ridiculed of My dis like of the ACLU. But at least I am certainly not a sheep.

no, i don't agree. They need some protection and see America as an oppurtoity. People like to hire illegal because they worked harder than American. Many American think they are better because they are American
