I think too many of us consider this incorrectly as looking like a man or woman, yet you can be in someone's image and likeness in many ways, what are your thoughts?

We have in a since these quality's that we have born into us, four attributes. God created into Adam and then latter to Eve...the quality's of LOVE, WISDOM, POWER and JUSTICE.
Animals do not have these qualities.
Our creator applies these qualities perfectly when administrating the law.
Today man miss uses them.
That's what it means in his image, likeness.

God created Adam in His likeness. I think we all have the ability to be spiritual like God, if your open to it... there is many levels of spirituality, some like me may see feel ghost, spirits, Angels, even God, I feel God in many ways, we all do, God communicates in so many many ways, but I did feel God's presence once in the same room with me, and what he said to me. So since we are created in his likeness, our image looks like his, except he is spirit, if you were able to see his Spirit image, you'll see hands, arms, head, and legs.

I love this question.
WORDS! I need words here. OK.....Everything that "Lives" is in the image of GOD. GOD is the life force in all things. We are born with a hole in our soul. It is often called the curse of Adam. We are empty inside and out of place in this world. Then some way GOD gets the message to us that he would like to hang out with us. He even sent Jesus to tell us how to get back to our original state through him.
Once we are back in fellowship with GOD we are complete. Chips off of the old living block so to speak.

God exists as a trinity: Father , Son , Holy Spirit.
Man exists as a trinity : Body , Soul, Spririt.
This is how we differ from the rest of creation, not made in God's image.

In His image.To Love and be loved.To be kind and caring.but with a free will so as not to be robots,Adam screwed it up for us by listening to Eve.We fell and now we act more NOT like His image,until Jesus returns,then the "Lion shall lie down with the Lamb" and all that.
Right now we are only the image of Adam.

I agree. It does not have to based on the physical image of God, it can mean in our behavior as he would be. As in loving, kind etc.

If I understand the Bible correctly He created us in their image, meaning our spiritual image, not our earthy image.
