I take 2 x 1 mg daily. Is that considered harmful on a long term basis?

Prednisone is a steroid that has very harmful side effects if taken long term you have to ween yourself off of it by slowly lowering doses. My father was on it when he was younger and it messed up his bone density and now he is having all kinds of problems with his joints

If you are taking 1mg twice daily this is a very low dosage. I have have Prednisone prescribed to me at 10mg three times daily. Any dosage of Prednisone is too much but given the consideration that it does mask the pain why not.

When you start having to shave four times a day, I'd back off a bit.

i do the same for severe allergies and had to stop..gave me thrush
