Okay, here goes... Obviously, I'm fourteen, and I like this guy. I've known him for three years, but we've only started hanging out this summer... That was when I started liking him as more than a friend. And I know he was interested for at least a little bit, because he was asking my friends about me and flirting all the time, and we wen't to the movies with a few of our friends and he let me lean into him and everything. He even called me after. But now, he told my friend he likes someone else, and he sits with her on the bus and all. But I swear he kindof likes me, because he's always really close to me, even if we're working together in school he's like 2 inches away from me! And he always tries to make me laugh, above any of the other girls... but like I said, I haven't seen him when he's with this other girl, and I'm not sure what to think... I mean, if he didn't like her, why would he sit with her and everything?? I'm just confused. Any help? Thanks so much!!

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

He is young and guys when guys are young all they want to do is flirt with all the girls. If he really liked you he would have asked you out a long time ago.And never have doubt on man. If you do your relationship is not going to work.

well the best thing that i can tell you is that you have to talk to him about how he feels about you
also only point out what u do know
so either you can straight up ask him if he likes you or wait and see what happens
