how long you been going out, he might just wanna take it slow. My first bf didn't hold my hand or kiss me until the 2 month mark. Where as my current steady and I were making out within the first 2 weeks (but, we'd been friends for 5 years too, so we did know each other pretty well). If you're really getting to the point where you want that stuff, try starting it up yourself. Causually slip your hand in his while your walking or something. He might just need a "push". Good luck!
