She wants attention. My cat does the same thing. He knows I'm leaving and it wants that last scratch under the chin before I go. Some of it is learned behaviour. When he was small the more he fussed the more attention he got so he kept doing it. Now he bats at my feet, I pet his head and tell him he has to stay home and off he goes to the window to watch me walk away.

My cat who is just over a year attacks my feet whenever I'm going up the stairs at night before going to bed and definetly in the morning. I just assumed she wants attention which seems to be the case... Glad I'm not the only cat with attacking paws.

You know I have a puppy, well a 1.5 year old terrier/jack russell and she does the same thing!! It's so annoying, and she does it to me and my four year old only.....I've come to the conclusion that she just wants to play. Maybe she just wants a little attention before you go. But that does sound weird. Maybe she's afraid you won't come back to her.....did you rescue her from somewhere? I don't know, I think it's funny that my DOG, of all animals, is doing the same thing your cat is. OH, we did buy her a bone and she doesn't do it as often anymore. Maybe you can give her something to chew on and distract her before you head out. I know I didn't help much, but good luck to ya.

if a cat has no longer been spayed or neutered, as quickly because it is going out, it's going to be very diverse from earlier. yet what in the international does the cat could desire to do with you no longer getting a boyfriend? Is the cat purely an analogy for the boyfriend? if so, be a chum to get one and you gets one.

Believe it or not, cat's are just like humans and every cat has it's own personality. You act different around certain people, the same with your cat... I would say it might be lonely without you and doesn't like you to leave. :)

Cats are weird. Mine walks over and purposely lays on my feet, and if I dare move them even an inch she attacks them with claws out...not enough to draw blood, just hard enough to make it uncomfortable....crazy animals.

my cat does that too, it just wants you to stay and pay attention to it, it could be lack of attention, so play and pet her more ok? and it may be just a cute way of saying good bye.
