Usually late night or early morning flights are the best. Definately go with weekdays. Plane tickets prices are ridiculously over-priced on the weekends. The best times to travel are Tues-Thurs. Multiple-stop flights are always cheaper, as well. Be sure to check how long the layovers are, because sometimes you can have 8 hour layovers. If you don't mind this, then don't worry about it. Hope this helped a little.

It all depends. Business travelers usually like to travel Sunday night or early Monday morning, with returns Thursday evening or Friday midday - evening. So those times tend to be expensive. Late night flights tend to be cheaper. Mid-day flights can also be cheaper. Saturday flights and Sunday morning flights may also be cheaper.

On most airlines, multi-stop flights tend to be cheaper than non-stop flights. However, on Southwest, non-stops are usually cheaper. If you are traveling last-minute, JetBlue and Southwest often have cheaper fares. They don't show up in search engines like Orbitz, so you often have to compare separately. If you are booking some time in advance and have flexibility in times, Southwest and Jetblue will probably not be the cheapest.

There usually isn't a whole lot of difference between one-stop and multi-stop fares.

If you are going to a tourist destination, then the logic gets turned all inside out, and an early morning flight may be your best bet.

It is cheaper to fly over the weekend, overnight, and multiflight. Aren't you eventually going to have to look it up anyway, to see what tickets are available?

It would probably take the same amount of time as would waiting for answers on yahoo.

I usually would go on a Tuesday or Thursday, they seem to be cheap on those days plus sometimes weekends especially on Sunday. Try cheaptickets.com or call the airline to see which would be the best for you.
