I read this book about Mohammad that claimed he was a drunk and fooled around with prostitues... Why do islamic people worship him if he was like that??

Nawozubillah. What a moron.! How can say bad think about our prophet, you are insulting 1.2 billion Muslims. We don't worship him, he was a messenger of God. We worship Allah. How would you feel if Muslims insult Jesus and other great religious leader?
The Islamic Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) led a life of simplicity and poverty. His house, built of mud walls and thatched with date-palm leaves, often remained dark for want of oil for the lamp. At times he did not even have the flour with which to prepare bread. Mohammed was illiterate but from an early age he showed a remarkable aptitude for concentration. He was a serious child and never took part in pranks or frolic. When he grew up he earned a great reputation for his honesty and integrity. He always fulfilled his promises. Because he was extremely trustworthy, he became known as Al-Amin.
The Prophet of Islam did not hold any debates nor did he challenge anyone to controversies and discussions. He silently converted people to his faith through his strong personality, charming demeanor and force of divine virtues. He bore with patience the persecution of his tormentors. His characteristics as well as the power of the verses of the Quran captivated the hearts of people.

Can you honestly believe that a person with the above mentioned traits can have such a large number of followers? Why would people follow a person who doesn't even fulfill the teachings he himself preached among them? Tell me one good reason why whole Arabia converted to the religion he preached (keep in mind the fact that majority of his followers were poor) if he was like that?
You are looking at wrong place brother. Ask from people who know. Not from those whose sole purpose is to spread hatred. Analyse and you'll know the truth.

muslims worship god and muhamad pbuh was merely a prophet like jesus pbuh and many more. anyway never read "books" about things related to religon there are many affiliated ones and otehrs written y extremists with money i suppose. so go to reliable sources he was not a drunk nor been with prostituteshes the one the fought against those just like moses and many more i can give you details from reliable sources if your interested

Muhammad was a warrior/priest. A holy man who preached
non-violence, while the crusaders were killing his people. He
finally acknowledged that they needed to defend themselves.
Muhammad taught to give quarter in battle. Show mercy when
a man is down. And forbade mutilation. He was a true warrior.
Who knew when to fight. And when to put and end to the fighting.

did you read that in the Bible? with all due respect to the holy Prophet Jesus but he drank a lot of wine and hung out with prostitues.

and to correct you, we dont worship prophet Muhammed, we worship GOD!!!!
