Will it lose flavor?

I have just about frozen anything you can think of and I would cut them up in pieces first put in a Ziploc bag and freeze. That way you can break off pieces and use them for flavoring in cooking. I have done that with herbs so it will work with green onions as well.

Green onions held at 32°F and 98 to 100 % relative humidity will remain fresh and flavorful for up to 4 weeks. Green onions are highly perishable and normally marketed over a short period. Lowering and removing the heat of respiration as well as preventing water loss is critical. Package-icing and perforated polyethylene film liners are used to maintain quality. Typically, storage life of green onions at 10°C (50°F) is 7 to 10 days. Higher temperatures greatly accelerate yellowing and decay of the leaves. Green onions benefit from light misting.

I presume you mean freezing them as they are and not as an ingredient in another dish, right? I wouldn't recommend using formerly-frozen scallions (green onions) in anything that doesn't otherwise require additional cooking. Once they're frozen, they will become mushy and, yes, they will lose their flavor a bit.

If it's the oniony flavor you're seeking from scallions, won't chives do? And if so, what about trying to dry out the scallions? I don't know if that's feasible; just a thought, is all.

They will probably lose crispness, but not flavor, I would think. Maybe mildly; of course not as good as fresh, but I'm sure you're not freezing them without a good reason.

Minced onions freeze but green onions just get wilted.

You're better off just tossing them out. Fresh ingredients ALWAYS taste better than frozen do.
