Agnostic = Has no concreete belief system. don't rule anything out. In other words it is all possible or plausible but probible.. maybe not.. but then again... maybe so..Not so sure any of it is history but more of it is rumor than fact....

Athiest = Believe that there is no God at all, No God, no Devil... Nothing... they will tell you they have no faith at all but in fact they have the most amount of faith.. because they belive that they are just here by some sort of accident of nature.. that cannot be explained without science..

"Pagan = Believes in multiple Gods. Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Norse "mythology" were all pagan religions. Modern day wicca is a pagan religion as well. Interesting note: The Old Testament IMPLIES (does not say, but implies) that there are multiple gods. This was also very appropriate for the culture at the time, as the Jews were in a pagan environment during the story of Exodus "(copied the previous answer from another person to answer them as well)

I am Pagan/wiccan and I have to differ with this answer Not all pagans believe in more than one God. The oldest of old religion (read the book when God was a Woman) teaches all about the Maiden Mother and Croan... but what is the most missunderstood of all of the pagan religion is the Goddess that all the pagans were worshiping even thou a different name was giving in all the different sects just like in xtian religions with yahwe and jehova etc.... all those different names for the Goddess reffered to the same Goddess not a different God or Goddess.. it was just different sides of the same Goddess.. yes Pagans do worship One God and One Goddess meaning yes they do have a poly God worship system.. because they have a duality to it both female and male.. but that is just the ying and yang of it all.. but I could go on for hours and hours... and I just wont... just thought I would clear it up..

agnostic
An agnostic is someone who professes to lack the knowledge of whether any god or gods definitely do or definitely do not exist. Agnosticism is about knowledge rather than belief, thus an agnostic can also be a theist or an atheist.

paganism
The term pagan comes from the Latin term paganus, which simply means "countryman." In its earliest usage, it was applied to those who continued to adhere to traditional Greek and Roman religions even after Christianity became dominant. Because Christianity first gained dominance in the cities rather than the rural areas, the traditional religious beliefs came to be identified with the less cosmopolitan citizens of the empire.

Today, a great many pagans identify themselves as pantheists. Like other pantheists, pagans too believe that divinity is manifested everywhere, yet they are distinctive in that they relate to whatever they conceive of as God primarily through nature. They celebrate solstices, equinoxes and other natural passages, and they typically have a strong environmental ethic and a deep love of the natural world.

Many pagans are straight pantheists, using polytheism as a metaphoric way of approaching the cosmic divinity they believe in. Some people feel the need for symbols and personages to mediate their relationship with nature and the cosmos, and most say that there is no harm in this, as long as the symbols help them to connect to reality and do not block or distort their view of the cosmos. Pantheists can, however, also relate directly to the universe and to nature, without the need for any intermediary symbols or deities.

However, many pagans are literal polytheists and believe in magic, reincarnation, and the irrational. Modern pantheists are not generally polytheistic and do not believe in magic or disembodied spirits of any sort. Most of them also do not believe in a personal afterlife, whether through reincarnation or transport to any kind of non-material "heaven."

atheist
An athiest is anyone who is not a theist, that is to say, anyone who does not happen to believe in the existence of any gods.

Also Known As: nontheist, nonbeliever
Common Misspellings: athiest

I'm Agnostic so I know this one the best. It basically means I don't know if there is or isn't a God. There really isn't concrete evidence one way or another as I see it.

Atheists believe there simply couldn't be a higher power. No God at all.

Pagan is a word which refers to those who would not convert to Christianity, and those people tended to live in rural areas of Europe. I believe the origin of the word means rural. Today's Pagans, I think, try and discover what those older European beliefs entailed and mimic or recreate them.

I must say it is delightful to find a Christian who is interested in what someone else believes! Thank You.

Agnostic = Has no faith. I'm agnostic, and I don't rule anything out. It's all based on heresay and rumor...not to mention you're trying to understand something so complex as to the workings of the universe using stories that include God's human gender, human feelings, and human wants/desires.

Athiest = Has faith that God definately does not exist. Athiests are similar to Agnostics in the sense that they do not claim God exists, but different in that Agnostics do NOT claim that NO god exists.

Pagan = Believes in multiple Gods. Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Norse "mythology" were all pagan religions. Modern day wicca is a pagan religion as well. Interesting note: The Old Testament IMPLIES (does not say, but implies) that there are multiple gods. This was also very appropriate for the culture at the time, as the Jews were in a pagan environment during the story of Exodus.

An agnostic reserves their belief until they have witnessed something spiritual. An atheist activily believes that nothing spiritual exists. A pagan, by definition, believes in spiritual ideas that are not Christian, Muslim, or Judeaism. New Age pagans are generally into the ancient belief systems of Europe.

Agnostic
--------------------------
Agnosticism is the philosophical view that the value of certain claims as truth—particularly theological claims regarding the existence of God, gods, or deities—is unknown, inherently unknowable, or incoherent and thus irrelevant to life. The term and the related agnostic were coined by Thomas Henry Huxley in 1869, and are also used to describe those who are unconvinced or noncommittal about the existence of deities as well as other matters of religion. The word agnostic comes from the Greek a (without) and gnosis (knowledge). Agnosticism is not to be confused with a view specifically opposing the doctrine of gnosis and Gnosticism—these are religious concepts that are not generally related to agnosticism.

Atheist
------------
Atheism, in its broadest sense, is the absence of belief in a deity or deities. The opposite of theism, this broad definition encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically include only those who assert the nonexistence of gods, excluding non-believing agnostics and other non-theists.

Although some atheists tend toward skepticism and secular philosophies such as humanism, naturalism and materialism, there is no single system of philosophy which all atheists share, nor does atheism have institutionalized rituals or behaviors.

Pagan
--------------
Paganism (from Latin paganus, meaning "a country dweller" or "civilian") is a blanket term which has come to connote a broad set of western spiritual or religious beliefs and practices of natural or polytheistic religions, as opposed to the Abrahamic monotheistic religions. "Pagan" is the usual translation of the Islamic term mushrik, which refers to 'one who worships something other than The God of Abraham'. Ethnologists do not use the term for these beliefs, which are not necessarily compatible with each other: more useful categories are shamanism, polytheism or animism. Often, the term has pejorative connotations, comparable to heathen, infidel and kafir (كافر) in Islam.

Agnostic is the philosophical view that the value of certain claims as truth—particularly theological claims regarding the existence of God, gods, or deities—is unknown, inherently unknowable, or incoherent and thus irrelevant to life. Basically not knowing if God or Ultimate being exists because of no physical evidence, so it is irrevalent.

Paganism is the practice of natural and polythestic religions, mainly worshipping nature and gods and goddesses.

Atheist is having no belief in God or any Ultimate being.
