The leaves of the dandelion are equivalent in nutritional value to spinach. If you doubt what I said, do a seach.

As you know, dandelion grows like weeds on everyone's lawn.

Seeing that no spinach can be trusted anymore, would you eat dandelion leaves off a lawn that wasn't treated?

(And, guess what? Treating lawns is one of many ways to ruin our health and the environment as the chemicals seep into the ground and contaminate underground waterways and also the coastal areas where you once could eat fish you caught).

Go ahead, say that I'm off the wall. Say it!

Or, rather reseach what I wrote, and see if there is at least some validity.

I think you have good points. But personally, dandelion tastes more bitter than spinach, and I just don't like it! :)

A lot of us are not aware of all the delicious and nutritious whole foods that we have right in our own back yards. I have read of the nutritious value of dandelion, but I keep getting the picture of a cat or dog doing their business on them. I would probably wash all of the good stuff away trying to clean them. All that said; this planet did once hold THE GARDEN OF EDEN.

The problem is that there are a number of weeds that look like dandelion. I find it impossible to tell for sure.

I love dandelion greens!

And I would eat them from an untreated fenced lawn maybe. I'm scared of dog poop. :p

uhhhh, leonard.....i think it's all those little white spores that go up your nose that keeps people from scarfing the dandelions.
