What do you think of the Muslim's reaction to the Pope's comment?

Well, it was expected. Muslims are very religious and it really wasn't a surprise that they got violent. Their religion encourages it, especially when someone from another religion is "insulting" theirs (even if that person is saying the truth). The Pope should've tought twice before saying what he did. It's a dangerous thing to do.

Let's imagine that the United States elected a Muslim President, who appointed a largely Muslim cabinet and installed Islamists in the other various government departments, and as Supreme Court Justices. Then let's imagine that the U.S. government took up with Islamic countries against the Catholics, and sent the U.S. military to enforce our will at the Vatican, while the people of the United States eagerly became more and more anti-Catholic and the U.S. media blamed Catholics for all of our woes. Then imagine that a major Muslim leader emerged, and gave a speech claiming that Catholicism had contributed nothing to the world, and was responsible for evil and violence.

Would you say that the Catholic reaction was merely a reaction to those comments?

If you can't admit to the context of these responses, your question is simply dishonest.

Since most of the world has free speech then I would say that if we have to continue to listen to what the Muslim's say about us then why can't they take it back?
What's the matter can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen and leave the world to those who can take it.

They're acting like a bunch of martyrs. Christians would put on a big persecution act if the holy slippers were on the other foot.

Why would we expect anything less, considering the recent history with the Muhammad cartoon thingie?

They're being dramatic

I can understand being offended. I can't understand riots over what one man said.

Add to the fact that they're claiming he insulted them by saying Islam is violent...and they're responding to this "insult" with VIOLENCE. Ironic.
