Without a doubt it can be produced in a laboratory. Which leads to the question: Are the current, and past outbreaks accidental, or are they bioterrorism?

"What Is E. Coli?
E. coli is one common type of bacteria. It is short for the medical term Escherichia coli (say: esh-er-ick-ee-eh cole-eye), which normally lives inside your intestines, where it helps your body break down and digest the food you eat.
Unfortunately, when the E. coli moves from your intestines, where it's needed, and finds its way into other parts of your body (where it is not supposed to be), you can get sick.
Also, there are different types of E. coli. Most of them are OK if they are in your digestive system - after all, that is the place they normally call home. However, other types, or strains, of E. coli can make you sick, even when they enter your intestines. You may get a fever, vomit, or have diarrhea, and generally get pretty sick if you come in contact with the wrong strains of E. coli - even if they enter the "right" place."

The question is 'why would you ask that'? If you knew what e-coli is and what it can do then you would know the answer to your own question! E-coli is defiantly produced by 'human chemical influence'! (meaning your own human body)

E. coli is bacteria present in human body. It is a normal flora of the colon..So it is in man.So when a man excretes his stool/ feces, it is present. In poor sanitation, it can go to the water system and if not properly distilled water, it can infect those who are drinking it. Yes, it can be man-made thorugh culture. At the microbiology lab, it can be grown in a media plate, even a dozen and hundreds of it...we will just have to give them the right nutrients and environment needed by the bacteri to grow.Hope thishelps. God bless
