alcohol in liquor can only be compose of one kind of alcohol and nothing else -that is "ETHYL ALCOHOL or ETHANOL". different brands of liquor differentiates from one another in concentration of the ethyl-alcohol they contain in percentage per given volume, and also the flavors and additional ingredients and/or techniques of how they are manufactured, the secret recipes, the reason different liquors have different taste but the identity of the alcohol is the same, - it's ethyl alcohol.
in rubbing alcohol, mostly they use "ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL" which is a form of alcohol not suitable for making liquors primarily because they are harmful to the body as a form of alcohol when taken internally. even in the skin, too much also causes dryness. some manufacturers uses Ethyl Alcohol for creating their "rubbing alcohol" to avoid dryness of the skin, the difference between liquors and these rubbing "Ethyl" alcohol is that their concentrations are higher than that of found on liquors, concentrations that are way too high for drinking, and dangerous already for the body.
Also if you want to find out what happens to the ethyl alcohol of liquors you drink, they are converted to acetic acid by your liver, acetic acid in common name is "vinegar"! a less harmful substance to the body.
In a sense, when you had too much to drink, you've drink too much vinegar!
also, ethyl alcohol when absorbed by the blood and is circulated, they tend to stay on your lungs so when you breath, inhale and then exhale, "They got carried away!" so you smells like drunk by your girlfriends!
good day!
one more thing... another kind of alcohol, Methyl alcohol or METHANOL... causes blindness, some alcohol huh to use for a liquor!!! huh!!!

Rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol (isoproanol) C3H7OH
Drinking alcolol is ethyl alcohol (ethanol) C2H5OH
Rubbing alcohol is toxic and cannot be made non-toxic.
Drinking alcohol is technically toxic although the body metabolizes it more readily and it doesn't have the same lasting health effects...hence just drunkenness.

Rubbing Alcohol you can buy without ID. lol This type of blend would be for the OUTSIDE of your body to rub one down due to stiffness, sore joints ect... and its GREEN smells good. THE other you need ID as proof to show that you are old enough to drink and depending on the brand this would be good in taste for the INSIDE of your body.lol The End
