If you did, I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I grew up there. Have you ever been anywhere more GHETTO than that place?

I only lived there for about six months...then they decided my time was up, so I got to go home.

I've never lived there, but I know people that do and I have travelled through there a few times! Small cities in Saskatchewan (aren't they all?) tend to be bleak, as there isn't a booming economy to brighten things up! This is reflected in the infrastructure and citizens that reside there. The penitentiary doesn't exactly do anything positive either, except by being there instead of somewhere else!

You should still show some pride and respect when looking back upon your hometown! It takes a bigger person to find the best part of a seemingly unsavoury situation! There is no shame to be from Saskatchewan! I, myself, rank it up there with my Canadian pride! I live in Alberta now, but I would never bad mouth any part of Saskatchewan, except Moose Jaw (just kidding! I've never been there, but everyone jokes about it because of the name.)

I grew up in Saskatoon, which, in my opinion, is the nicest city in Saskatchewan, so I can't be totally objective! I left looking for a brighter future...not to get away! There's a difference! I still wish that I had some of the things that I miss, such as friends, family, childhood memories, etc. I hope that where you live now affords you a brighter future with fond memories of the past!

Have you heard the P.A. song? It pretty much sums it up.
