They will take a urine sample to test you for a UTI. They don't need to do an exam unless you have been sexually active.

Actually it is probably a good time to have you first pap exam – yes.. down there… it is possible you could have a vaginal bacterial infection ,along with a urinary infection… It weird but it is not a painful exam, you’ll just feel a little pressure like when you go to the bathroom… it goes very quick... like 30 seconds and you bee done… at that time you will also have the opportunity to ask other questions you might have about your changing body. Write down you question before you go so you don’t forget.

In the future… I’m sure the doctor told you… make sure you always stay hydrated, cranberry juice is great.. I think they say a cup a day pretty much eliminate them… you also, want to pay more careful attention to your hygiene done there as you get older.. Making sure to wipe front to back, wear all cotton underpants, and if you having you periods keeping clean with a moist towel is helpful.... I know... TMI? no! the more info the better!
Hope all is well!

Urinary Tract Infections are not determined by examining the pubic area. They are determined by testing your urine. You will probably be asked to take a cup, go in the bathroom, pee in it, and give it to them to test. They will run tests on it and if it comes back positive for certain germs than they will most likely precribe some antibotics. And well looking "down there" has nothing to do with your age. It has to do with your problem. For a urinary tract infection no. It would yield no info to help them in figuring out what is wrong with you. I am not saying that it could be something else and they may eventually but if it is a UTI then you have nothing to worry about. Oh and to look "down there" I believe they must gain signed consent from your parents since you are a minor. I hope this reassures you. Get better soon.

urinary tract infection ( also known as uti ) the symptom you are having, sounds like uti but sometimes while only a little pee will come out some people will have extreme pain with it.

but a doctor will not see you unless you have your parent OR GUARDIAN, that was a hint, if you can get someone a aunt, freinds mother to go and tell them that they are your guardian, then they will see you.

I have suffered from u.t.i'.s since i was about your age. No they dont look at that. They take a urine sample and check it for bacteria. If they dont find bacteria, they can offer other tests(normally for stds or vaginal infections)They may also culture the urine wich takes a couple days but they will start you on an antibiotic regimen if they do that. If you continue to suffer there are home remedies that actually work. Vitamin c and cranberry pills work awesome and keep the bacteria from forming. lol

I'm sure that's what you have. They will the you pee in a cup and give you medicine.. They will not look at you in anyway. Make sure your mom goes with you and if someone trys to look at you there is NO need for that and don't let them.. They will give you two types of medicine one to stop the pain and it will turn your pee a bright orange and they other one will get rid of the infection. But now since you got one you will get them often. They suck but its something girls deal with

They will only ask for a urine sample. If u have UTI, u'll be prescribed an antibiotic which u will have to take for 5-10 days. Then u'll be fine. Drink lots of red cranberry juice and water. When u do ur hygeine, wipe from front to back. Better still use mild soap and water. Take care.

Honey, don'y be afraid. they will have to examine you internally to see if it is an infection. It won't hurt one bit. It's just embarrassing a little. Be sure you wash off REAL good just before you go and even sprinkle some powder in your panties crouch or use an FDS spray. Usually, these infections can be cleared up in just a couple days with a perscription. Don't be scared, we all have went thru it at one time or another.

Most likely they will have you do a urine test to see if you have a UTI or a bladder infection. They are similar, but require different treatments. They might look in your private area, but if they do a nurse or your mom will have to be in the room with the doc when it happens.

it's not really necessary to look there. More possible you'll just pee for them to take an analysis. And yes, go to hospital, by all means, track infection is treated only w. antibiotics.

There's no reason to physically look at you "down there". They'll have you pee in a cup, and maybe take some blood, and then send you on your merry way with an antibiotic. No worries.
