My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Assuming that you mean fat weight and not muscle weight (which you do not want to lose, by the way), the simple answer is what goes in (calories of any type in food) minus what goes out (calories used in exercise of any type) equals fat!
So, eat less (especially high calorie, sugary snacks) and exercise more (even if only walking for 20 minutes - about a mile) each day.
Reward yourself based on performance and results. But make the rewards something other than food!
Some good ideas: eat veggies, not sweets for snacks. Drink a whole glass of water just before each meal. You will feel "full" sooner.
Most diets you hear of are just fads. If you can afford it, the Weight Watchers program works and is a very good and healthy diet. You don't need to buy their stuff, just find someone who goes and is willing to help you learn how to count the "points" that they assign to all foods. I did not go to any Weight Watchers meetings but my wife did (because her company was paying for them). I learned how to count points from her and I ended up losing far more weight than she did!
It is more discipline than system anyway. You have got to be able to say no to the stuff you don't need and yes to the things you do need (works for personal finances too but that is another thing).

Change your eating habits. Pay attention to what you are eating. Eat more veggies, salads, fruits. Try to avoid foods high in fat - anything with a cheese or meat sauce, lots of dressing, that kind of stuff. But don't go crazy. My doctor told me as long as I was on the diet more than I was off, I was fine, and I've lost 59 pounds since March! I still have days when I have whatever I want, but by having those days my dieting days go a lot smoother. Flavored water works as a great substitute for soda if you don't like diet soda. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. And get someone to diet with you -- it's a lot easier that way!

You can lose weight by eating fruits, salads ,veggies and getting exercise every day. you can have a whole grain cereal for breakfast with fruit and a glass of milk. Have a sandwich and soup for lunch or a salad and soup. For your evening meal have a small serving of meat, a veggie and a piece of fruit ,milk or yogurt. You can also have a snack every morning and afternoon of an ounce of peanuts or a few crackers and peanut butter or a piece of fruit or a yogurt. Only one of these items ,If you are vegeterian have beans, peas, cheese or eggs in the place of meat.If you walk at least 30 minutes every day and follow this plan you will loose weight.

Eat what's good for you, but don't eat too much. Keep lots of fresh veggies and fruit around for snacks. Don't eat junk food or drink soda. And don't forget to exercise so you will lose fat and not muscle.
Good luck!
