My dog is let out all of the time. She even goes to the restroom outside! But, she also loves to go #2 inside. Even if she was just outside. It is frustrating. Any thoughts?

The whole poop thing is still a mystery to me, too.

However, I find that I have the best luck when I do what the vet told me, which is to take him out precisely 20 minutes after he eats, which is when his system knows it must "make room for the new food" and he's really wanting to poop.

Since I did this while we were still potty training, I made a big deal out of it when he pooped, complete with praise and treats. He got the idea pretty quickly

In addition to what everyone else said (discipline the dog each time she"goes" inside, take the poop and the dog outside each time, and reward your dog for going outside) you could try to only keep water available for your dog all day, and feed her at specific times only when you take her outside right after. Then don't let her back in until she goes #2 outside. Reward her each time she does it right.

I've had bassets. Put the dog out first thing in the morning and shut the door. After the dog eats, wait about 20 minutes, and put the dog out again and shut the door. If the dog "goes" at night, put them in a crate. They won't "go" in the bedding.

Yeah, take her and her poop outside each time you catch her. In time, she will get the hint, but you have to be consistent (like with children lol) Good Luck!

Crate the animal if you can't keep a constant eye on her and she hasn't "gone" lately. Once she does go outside, praise her alot.

my dog did the same thing. you dog already knows how to get out side which is good. next time she "goes" inside you spank her and then take the poop out side put it in the yard and put her face near it and spank her again and tell her :here" or something along those lines...it worked for me

HAVE YOU TRIED PAPER-TRAINING HER? IF SO THEN YOU CAN TAKE THE PAPER OUTSIDE AND TRY TO GET HER TO USE IT AND WHEN SHE DOES REWARD HER. SHE SHOULD EVENTUALLY GET THE IDEA THAT OUTSIDE IS OK BUT INSIDE IS NOT.
