Mohammed (570-632) the founder of Islam. He was born in Mecca, where he lived as a merchant married Khadija, a rich widow, and had a daughter Fatima. At the age of forty he had a vision and began to preach as a prophet, exhorting the people to repentance, prayer, belief in the one God Allah, and alms- giving. In 622 to escape assassination he fled to Medina, where he set up a theocratic state. In 630 he conquered Mecca. He died in Medina (632), having established his authority throughout S. W. Arabia. From the Webster's Dictionary,Encyclopedic Edition 1987, Unless the Muslim Faith has anything to add to this most people know this much about Mohammed.

Islam is a relatively young religion. As a result, many of it's followers have some level of insecurity when it comes to their religion. I don't mean that they have personal insecurities, but you will find that most christians couldn't care less if a muslim quoted someone as saying christians were bad people.
Furthermore, the Pope did not make these claims, he quoted them from someone else. Additionally, it looks very bad for muslims when the Pope quotes the text as saying that Islam is a violent religion, and then, Muslims threaten to kill him for reading the text. This only proves his point. It's important for Muslims to make a clear break from fundamentalists that manifest the kind of behavior he was referring to when he read that text.

The coming of Mohammed was prophesied in Daniel. Read "The False Prophet" by Ellis Skolfield which can be read online in a couple of hours at www.ellisskolfield.com. This is a very good book that will give you great insight into God's plan for our planet. The sign of a true prophet is that their prophecies come true. We are living in the last days. Peace to you in your search for truth.

you do no longer accept as true with what the Pope quoted from the 14th century? What do you propose no longer paying interest. His speech grew to become into approximately uniting all believers in God. did no longer you examine all what he grew to become into asserting? He did no longer ignite something. He grew to become into speaking to followers, believers in God. Muslims overreact because of the fact their government insists that they do. And their government(s) have alterior motives. They burn issues out of protest. yet while their former President got here to the u . s . final week and mentioned propose issues in some extensive church right here did the u . s . burn that former President in effagy? Heck no, we in simple terms skipped over the guy. reason he wasn't thinking. All i understand is that Islam desires to convey regarding the tip of the worldwide so their savior might arrive...he neglected the date he grew to become into meant to reach some weeks in the past. they do no longer want to go through the embarassment that perhaps, in simple terms perhaps they have been incorrect and ought to have believed interior the unique savior. yet additionally, there's a cultural and language barrier and Islam in simple terms would not understand human beings, and human beings do no longer extremely care (often) if somebody would not understand them.

I agree with sheeny... muslims are just offended... it doesn't matter what it is... they'll always find something to get offended by so they have an excuse to be enraged and to go out and kill people who have absolutelly nothing to do with whoever offended them. My apologies to "moderate muslims". Not every muslim is mean, unfortunatelly good people who are muslims are being forced to keep their mouth shut about the atrocities commited in the name of their religion because they fear for their lives. As far as the Koran is concerned, a good muslim is a mean sunava'b_tch who kills infidels (and muslims who don't believe in killing infidels are automatically counted as infidels).
And as a christian, you know I get upset if someone does something disrespectful like **** on a cross or say that Jesus is a ******* and stuff like that but they're entitled to their opinion. I might call that person who offends me an idiot, but I don't know any christians who go out on a killing rampage because someone said something offensive about our religion.

ok so what? those are all true info!! the reason we were offended because the Pope INSULTED the Prophet of God and it's not acceptable.
what about Moses and David? do you think they were Prophets or not? the fought battles and wiped out entire cities.
Prophet Muhammed and the followers of Islam were being attacked by the pagans of Maccah that's why they fled to Madinah and then they had a treaty with Qurish tribe of Maccah and later on the people of Maccah embraced Islam willfully.
there was no force to convert them!!!! and HISTORY proves it.
you said it yourself that's all you know about him, why dont you try to know abut him then?? go ahead and read his HISTORY.

"God" or "Jesus" or "Mohammed" or "E=Meter" or any other kind of religion is very subjective. There is no point in trying to convince any one else of a religious thought. Religion is by nature not interested in facts, it is interested in faith. Therefore, the entire concept of discussing religion is moot. That is why there is no answer to your question. ;-)

To them, theirs is the only true religion. Basically to speak of their religion without acknowledging it as the true religion will only stir up negativity. To imply something they consider false, will only stir up anger. And then there are extremists who will use anything to further their "cause" and stir up hatred of other religions.

At least in america we accept the ugliness and doublesidedness of trying to stop terrorist by invading countries. We're not bombing france. Muslims, however, say they're peaceful but as soon as you hint otherwise they start burning your churches.
