Does the coat grow back normal on an Australian Cattle dog (also know as Australian blue heeler) if you shave them. I have heard that the coat comes back in solid and not the "blue" look any more.

Many times it depends both on the particular dog and the circumstances.
My uncle has sheep, and three Aussies. One of his employees shaved the old Aussie as a prank when they were shearing all the sheep, and the dog grew back his coat just as it was before.
It's not scientific, but it's one example.
Some hard research should turn up a good few facts on this.
Best of luck.

The color should come back just like it was before. I've had dogs all my life and get them regularly groomed and sometimes shaved during the summer months. Coat always comes back the same as it was.

THE COAT WILL COME BACK JUST LIKE IT WAS. THE PIGMENTATION DOESN'T CHANGE JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE SHAVED
