Joseph Smith claimed that the book of mormon was "the fulness of the gospel." Eternal marrage is a huge part of mormon beliefs.

Though it does not specificially say "eternal marriage" in the Book of Mormon, there are many references to it. Obviously it is extensively talked about in the Doctrine and Covenants because there were many things revealed to Joseph about the "new and everlasting covenant of marriage".
Everything you need to know about the gospel is in the Book of Mormon. What more do you need to know than to follow all of God's commandments? If the prophet told us tomorrow that it had been revealed that we should not drive cars anymore, I would stop. I would not question for a minute why, or Is it in the Book of Mormon? It's called being obedient.
There are certain truths that are explained more clearly in the BOM rather than the Bible.
I truly believe by reading the BOM and livng by it's teachings, any person can become closer to the Lord than by any other way or book.

Personally, I enjoyed the Book of Mormon. The Pearl of
Great Price? SO, SO. I think some of the leaders of the Mormons made up some stuff as time went along. The Bible says to be wary of mans wisdom.
Not that we intentionally screw it up. But too many try to intellectualize the experiences of others. And since they
didn't experience it themselves. Their understanding is a
little off.

The part that talks about revelation, and communication, and instruction from God happening yesterday, today, and forever.
