First off, before you embark in that rapid a weight loss, you need to visit your primary care physician. That is a reasonable weight loss program, although somewhat accelerated. You have started in time to get it done in a reasonable way.
You need to restrict your caloric intake to something like 1200-1500 calories. Eat small portions: no serving bigger than a deck of cards, except the very low or no calorie veggies. Do not even allow high fat foods into your house. Allow yourself one "forbidden food" once a week. Actually helps you stick with it the rest of the time. Just don't buy the whole cheesecake and bring it home.
Exercise. I don't know what shape you are in, but at least walk 45 minutes a day. When you are in shape enough do some hard sweaty exercise. It takes about two months of doing it regularly to see the benefits enough to want to keep going. Eventually it will make you feel so much better internally, you will be motivated regardless of the weight loss, etc.
Take karate. My husband signed up with my daughter and without trying lost about 40 pounds in 6 months, without a huge effort. He is in better shape now than he has been since I met him. ;-).
Good going, you know you can do this!

Visit www.self.com and click on "Reach Your Goal". They have an option where you can strive to lose 8 lbs each month, as well as a few other fitness choices and goals. This is free and is terrific! It allows you to keep a food diary (very important) and a work-out log. It also gives you fitness ideas, new moves to try, and food recommendations and recipes. I highly recommend this.
* Try not to drink any soda (that only helps you GAIN weight), and drink lots of water instead. Put a slice of lemon in it if you like.
* Do at least 45 minutes of some activity which makes you sweat, 4 days a week. This could be anything from running to salsa dancing. Encorporate 2 days of strength like lifting weights or pilates.
* Don't deprive yourself. Allow yourself at least 1-2 dessert type items a week
* Eat LOADS of fruits and veggies. They are packed with fiber and help move toxins out of the body. Have chicken or red meat occassionally, but cut it back from your diet if you eat it regularly. Have fish instead. It's much better for you.
Good luck with your goal! I'm going to Disneyworld in December and have the same goal! :)

6 lbs a month is an easy and healthy goal.
* Exercise intensely for at least 45 minutes a day (running, etc.) EVERY DAY.
* Cut down on fried foods and fatty foods. It's hard to just stop eating them completely, so just eat half of what you'd normally eat. So, if you usually eat a burger, eat half of it, or grill it.
* When you go out with friends, try to make them go to a Quizno's or Subway or a deli instead of a fast food place.
* You basically have to make up your own diet: figure out (w/ the help of a doctor or nutritionist or nurse) which foods you like that are healthy and eat those.
* Eat a vitamin a day so you don't fill up on crap.
Good luck. You should see results if this is really your goal. Most people don't have the patience for such a long-term goal.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

First figure out how many (approximately) calories you eat a day, then how many you burn. Make sure the first number is lower than your second, and you will lose weight. I would suggest at least 30-45 minutes of cardio a day, followed by weight training for 20-30 minutes. The best way to lose weight is to make a lifestyle change, not just a temporary fix. If you try to live healthier, losing weight and gaining muscle will happen anyway, and your more likely to keep your body that way.

Cake
Fast Food (even the healthy menu isnt healthy)
Butter
Oil
Drink These:
Water
Tea
Gatorade
Dont Drink These:
Soda
Juices (tons of sugar)
Exercise. Any type of exercise that gets your heart rate up. Do them often, do them for at least an hour or more each time you do them.
Eat small portions. Use smaller plates, and dont get seconds. Drink a glass of water before and after you eat.
Dont starve yourself. Eat. Starving yourself only tricks your body into conserving more fat. It thinks you are gonna need it because yo dont get food often. If you eat, your body has no reason to exessively store fat because food is readily available.
Believe it or not, eating healthy is the best way to lose weight. If you dont eat the extra calories theres no need to burn them off.

Believe it or not walking a mile everyday is what my mom and her neighbor do. She has lost 14 Lb. in about 2 1/2 monthes. She just ate her normal meals. Not alot of junk food. MOST IMPORTANT DO NOT EAT AFTER 7:00 pm. Unless your physically active at night. Because if you have a bowl of cereal and a hand full of chips at 10:00 pm and then lay around and go to bed all the crap you ate just sinks into you because you are not burning it off in your sleep.

on a similar time as its technically achievable, im unsure one hundred twenty five is a healthful weight for somebody as tall as you're. you're quite youthful to be doing something drastic, yet you are able to start up with the aid of in simple terms ingesting healthful and coping with your caloric intake. start up work out 3-4 situations a week (take days off in between as your muscle tissues want a ruin) and ensure you get a minimum of one million one million/2 hours of cardio a week. that's achievable, yet stick to it, and stay healthful!
