Why is it that girls dont ever like the guys who have great personalitys and are pretty romantic but choose popular guys instead? another thing is why cant girls just tell a guy that she likes him, and or ask him out if they do like hime and one more thing what do girls when they break up with a guy why do they say im breaking up with you because we are going in to different directions. what does that mean anyways the we are going in two different directions?

High school girls care too much about their image, reputation, and where the popularity it can give them. Wait until you're older and the girls get a lot cooler.

1. I believe it works both ways.
2. Immaturity.
3. Some grow out of it, and mature. Others quite never get past the last year of high school in their maturity.
4. Besides, don't worry now. Girls aren't your major goal — getting straight A's, so you stand a good chance of getting into a top notch university is.
5. Once you get into university socializing, all of those high school girls will fade quickly from your mind. You'll be meeting women that have interests similar to your own by choice, not forced cirriculum of high school.
6. Also, your looks will change soon in a few years, as you get out of that awkward teen stage of development. So don't worry about now.

the popular guys get noticed. they are more outspoken and you actually know they exist. the more shy guys just fade into the backround and i know that sucks because i am the same way. i am shy and not "popular". i have the same problem with guys. hehe and also how come guys dont ask out the girls they like either? there really is no good answer for that. we're all scared of eachother haha.

Some girls go for guys that look popular but there are some girls who go for the romantic type. Some girls wants to look cool in front of their friends when introducing their boyfriend but that is not how it should be. you should able to like the guy from the inside not the outside. outside image does matter but not so heavely.

key words, in high school, meaning they are still a tad immatur and won't go for our type until 2 years after graduation. although there are exceptions to this, but you gotta flirt with them and make your intention known before you start anything, or you'll be "just a friend"

because in high school females minds are always on look if you are fine and can dress your *** off it's over and done girls will be through in themselves at you, but when females get older they start looking for more qualities in a male, like his kindness and how smart he is and thinks of that nature~

well the "chicks" are are most likely refering to have a lot in common with the "guys" they go out with.
But turn this around... why do guys lust after the girls who look the hottest? i think its basicly the same reason.
