HI there. I’ve been on and off antibiotics which interfere with my contraceptive pill and whilst me and my husband were very careful there may have been once or twice (with in the seven day wait after you finish your course) that might have been a little too soon. Anyway, having said that. My period has come a little early and its very very heavy, I feel nauseated, have no energy at all and have cramps which are not normal to my periods. I also have some dark clotting. Before this I had sensitive sore breasts and dizzy spells (like I had when I was pregnant with my daughter) but they have gone now. Is it possible that this is a very early miscarriage? Would a pregnancy test be able to show this or is it too soon. I have an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow but am curious to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I doubt very much if this was a miscarriage i would guess at saying due to the antibiotics messing with your hormonal pill u are experiencing a normal period rather than a "false" one that u get when u are on the pill ..... hence its heavier than wot u usually get ....

A miscarriage that early would probably only seem like a normal period. There is a very slim chance that you would feel anything different since your baby would have been conceived less than two weeks earlier (more than likely). I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and it felt like a regular period with small tiny clots.

i haven't had the exact same prob-I knew I was pregnant, but when I miscarried I had the same symptoms (lack of a better word) as you are now having. A pregnancy test might say if you are pregnant, but only if you really were and if you still have enough HGC left in your system. It goes out with the blood when you miscarry.
